New Single ‘Cadence/Equinox’ Free Download [Happy Canada Day!]

Happy Canada Day to everyone! We hope this day finds you celebrating in traditional fashion, be it BBQ-ing, listening to the Guess Who, or watching the perpetually lame Parliament Hill concert that some of us secretly love. Don’t forget to wrap your day up with a big singalong of our national anthem.

On this most maple of days, we are very proud and excited to release our first single from our forthcoming second album, ‘Raise Up Your Head’. The song is called ‘Cadence’ and it is a song about drawing strength from a loved-one in difficult times. ‘Breaking down in rhythm’, the phrase repeated in the song’s coda, is a reference to those times in life when you feel weak and vulnerable and you have to rely on someone you love.

As a companion or compliment, we also have include another new song called ‘Equinox’, which is a funky psychedelic jam about those endlessly long summers of our youth.

If you like these songs, and you want to support Canadian indie rock & roll, please send these songs to your friends or send them here to download them. Tell people about The Stormalongs and help independent music!

Also, come and see us at The Horseshoe Tavern on July 31st!
